Getting Ready for Myrtle Beach
posted on May 7th, 2008
Well, it's about that time for the next major rally - the Myrtle Beach Spring Rally. I've got to tell ya', it's hard to beat Myrtle in May. We've been pounding hard for months to ready ourselves for what is one of the fastest growing rallies in the World. We've got a great array of live bands, and our steadfast team of gorgeous servers has been expanded. I'm talking some of the sweetest, tastiest, smokin'-hot girls the fine state of South Carolina will ever welcome. Kendall & Zach Johnson will be hangin' their hats at the Broken Spoke, too. I'm looking forward to head to head burnout against Zach and myself! Gonna be doin' slow races & weenie bite rodeos daily. We've got the only burn-out pit that elevates the bike over 8 feet in the air so all can witness the carnage from our 6-acre facility.

I've booked some bands that will be playing the Spoke for the first time and anxiously await seeing them live! This will be the second year for us to debut our male pole-dancing. Not exactly sexy, but funny as hell. Lots of hot lady contests, too, such as the silhouette contest, best breasts, orgasm contests, and of course ... a few surprises.

Speaking of surprises... last year, it was the Asphalt - this year, we hope to have a full liquor license! We're real close to getting it at this time; so keep your fingers crossed.

I'm psyched the "Wall of Death" will be back again. I'll get a chance to ride the wall on the go-cart if I'm a good boy. One of these days, I'll advance to the bike. Considering the gas prices, we've got some great vendors coming from all over the country. Also a few custom bike manufacturers like Dream Machines. You just might ride out of the Spoke on a new bike!

Nightly, we'll be running short films on the latest and greatest from S&S Cycle & Baker Drivetrain! This is the half a century mark for S&S this year. Not to mention the 10th year for Baker. I owe my land speed records to them and am a firm believer in their products. That's not a sales pitch - it's a fact.

When in Myrtle Beach, it's mandatory for me to go body surfing daily and invite you to join me. The water temp in Myrtle is perfect in May and the waves are in the hands of the surf gods. By the way, the Broken Spoke is real close to the beach.

I sure hope this has got you in the mood to join us at the Spoke to celebrate one of the oldest ongoing rallies in the world. Without the riders, all of our amenities are meaningless for the bikers that ascend from all over the World that will make the parties in Myrtle unforgettable.

After Myrtle, it's on to Sandusky, Ohio, Laconia, NH and then out to La Cross, WI for one hell of a party to celebrate S&S' 50th. Go to their website and check it out. It's going to take a book to share all the goings-ons and improvements in Sturgis - like the "World's Largest Biker Pool". And at this time, we're in negotiations to do the 105th Anniversary for Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, WI.

'Till next time,

Keep the Shiny Side Up and the Rubber Side Down!
